For trip admins
In plain terms
Pick the lightest role that matches what the person needs to do on this trip.
Trip admin
Use this for lead planners who should manage members, itinerary structure, bookings, and moderation.
Member
Use this for active participants who should add ideas, vote, comment, answer surveys, and complete checklist items.
Viewer
Use this for read-only access. Viewers can follow the trip without changing it or contributing planning input.
Simple rule of thumb
If the person should help shape the trip, choose Member. If they only need to follow along, choose Viewer. Reserve Trip admin for the people truly running the plan.
